Grundy County will offer the Ornamental and Turfgrass Applicators Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, March 2, 2016.

The local attendance site is Grundy County Extension & Outreach Office, 703 F Avenue, Suite 1, Grundy Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course runs from 9 to 11 a.m. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact Loretta at the ISU Extension and Outreach office at 319-824-6979.

The course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 3O, 3T, 3OT, and 10. Topics to be covered include: pesticide applications and impacts to sensitive areas, pests, pest management, and pesticides with discussions on ornamentals, home lawns, golf course turfgrass, and sports turfgrass; pesticide labels; and restricted entry intervals.
