Grundy Center, IA Local businesses in downtown Grundy Center are hosting a Grand Weekend February 11-13th and are inviting local residents and out of town guests alike to come and experience what our local businesses have to offer! Plan on beating the winter blues with a weekend of red hot specials and sizzling fun activities in downtown Grundy Center!

Many exciting events, including a couple of grand openings, will be happening throughout the weekend festivities. The MarkIt Coffee Shop & Bakery and Makenna Jane’s Boutique (formerly known as Lillian’s) will be offering grand opening specials and activities, all served up with a side of small town hospitality! Crazy Daises is celebrating three years of business in our community and the newly purchased Brothers Market grocery store (Brothers Market Grundy Center on Facebook) is joining in on the promotion by offering specials during the Grand Weekend.

The Landmark Bistro: Stop in for a sneak peak of Grundy Center’s newest restaurant! Open 11 a.m. 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. close. Enjoy a Not Your Father’s Root Beer Float specialty drink at the bar during this soft opening of The Landmark Bistro. Food is not available at this time.

The MarkIt Bakery and Coffeehouse: Beginning on Thursday evening and continuing through the weekend are opportunities for you to “Get Your Art On!” with a Coloring Craze Workshop, Ukulele Group Jam and an Art Gallery Premiere.
