Mark your calendars to enjoy the Festival of Trees weekend in Grundy Center, November 14 & 15. There will be something for everyone.

The 2015 “Christmas Around the World” Festival of Trees at the Community Center will include public viewing of the Christmas trees on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and on Sunday from 11:00 to 5:00. Area musicians will provide live entertainment. Be sure to stop in the refreshment room after you see the trees. There will be coffee/hot apple cider, cookies & popcorn served. On Sunday, we will be adding an Ostfriesen German Tea Party in the refreshment room.

Cedar Valley Hospice will have a Soup, Salad & Shop Luncheon on Sat., Nov. 14, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Methodist Church. Enjoy lunch & shop a variety of vendors.

There will be a Craft Fair on Sat., Nov. 14, at the Fire Station from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be a variety of crafts, boutiques, and several vendors.

Fun activities for children will begin with breakfast with Mrs. Santa Claus on Saturday at Kling Memorial Library at 10:00 AM. In the afternoon, the Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a free Christmas movie matinee at the Center Theater. The movie will be Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure.
