Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Grundy County office will offer the Ornamental and Turfgrass Applicators Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015.

The local attendance site for the Nov. 11 CIC is the Grundy County Extension & Outreach office at 703 F Avenue, Suite 1, Grundy Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the course will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Please note: this is a change from previous years. There is a registration. The course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 3O (Ornamental Pest), 3T (Turf Pest), 3OT (Ornamental and Turf Pest) and 10 (Research and Demonstration). Topics to be covered include equipment calibration and safe application techniques, pesticide drift reduction, phytotoxicity, turfgrass management including disease control, ash tree treatment methods and pesticides, and nontarget effects of neonicotinoid insecticides.
