GRUNDY CENTER- The annual Fall Fling combines support for local health care with a delicious lunch and the latest fall fashions, plus the chance to win purse and accessory prizes. The Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation Fall Fling is Thursday, September 24th at St. Gabriel’s Church, rural Reinbeck. The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the style show by Jennifer’s on Main, downtown Cedar Falls, with fashions by Lillian’s of Grundy Center.

A committee of fourteen area women is planning the event, which also features a raffle drawing for a Dubuque hotel stay and a gift certificate for fashions from Jennifer’s, as well as an evening at the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony. Both raffle tickets and event tickets may be purchased from committee members Audrey Kuhl of Conrad, Juanita Fulster, Pat Goos, and Shirley Miell of Gladbrook, or Jan Ehrig and Judy Martens of Reinbeck. Tickets are also available by contacting the hospital Foundation at 319-824-4147 or emailing erin.schildroth@unitypoint.org. Seating is limited, and tickets should be purchased by September 14. All guests in attendance will be entered into a drawing for purse and jewelry door prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.

The Fall Fling benefits local health care with support for the hospital’s new renovation project, which will enlarge the popular Specialty Clinics while completely restoring the original hospital building, constructed in 1952. Attendees also have the chance to support local health care grants with the annual Vase Challenge. These grants are available through the GCMH Foundation to non-profits who seek to address a health need in their community.
