Grundy County Extension & Outreach is excited to announce the hiring of our 2015 4-H & Youth Summer Assistant, Chelsea Martens. Some residents may have gotten to know Chelsea in our office as she was our school to work intern this past spring as well!

Martens is from Toledo and grew up at the Tama County Fair in 4-H. She holds an Associate’s Degree from Marshalltown Community College in Elementary Education. This May she graduated from UNI with a Bachelor’s Degree in Leisure Youth and Human Services. While working toward her degrees Chelsea focused on outdoor recreation including canoeing, backpacking, trends and issues in the outdoors classes and much more!

Martens says, “I am extremely thrilled to be continuing my time at the Grundy County Extension & Outreach office as the summer assistant and look forward to meeting even more 4-H families from Grundy County! If you haven’t met me yet, please stop by and do so!”
