Bowman and Miller, P.C. today released an agreed-upon procedures report on the City of Reinbeck, Iowa for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. The agreed-upon procedures engagement was performed pursuant to Chapter 11.6 of the Code of Iowa.

Bowman and Miller P.C. recommended the City continue to review its internal control procedures to establish appropriate segregation of duties over cash and financial reporting by having an independent reviewer of monthly reconciliations and financial reports. Bowman and Miller P.C. also recommends the City comply with Chapter 21.5 of the Code of Iowa regarding council minutes, the City should reconcile cash and investment balances to the general ledger monthly, approve operating transfers, reconcile utility billings, collections and delinquent accounts and comply with sewer revenue note provisions .
