WDG Architecture a company based in Dallas, Texas has announced the promotion of J Robb Hicks to associate principal. Hicks has been with the firm for seven years.

Hicks began his career in Mt. Vernon twenty years ago. He worked in production, design and project management. His resume of projects includes design in the commercial, retail, government, residential, education and renovation markets.

A company news release stated that for the last fifteen years Hicks has focused on commercial development, delivering many successful hospitality, multi-family, commercial and mixed use projects.

Hicks graduated magna cum laude and received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Louisiana Tech University in 1994. He is a registered architect in the state of Texas and an accredited professional in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.

Hicks is the son of John and Judy Robinson Hicks and the grandson of the late B. Lyle and Victoria Robinson.
