On Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 6:34 p.m., the Dike and Stout Fire Departments were dispatched to 521 Main Street, Dike, for a house fire.

Firemen arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the one story apartment building. Firemen were able to knock down the fire initially but took several hours to locate and remove hot spots.

11 occupants of 3 families were not injured but were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross is assisting them.
