Two vehicle accident September 29, 2011, 5:35 PM on T-29 south of Hwy 175.

Driver 1: LISA STANLEY, age 48, Conrad. Driving 2000 Honda. Estimated damage $5000.

Driver 2: MURREL MATHISON, age 54, Mabel, Minn. Driving 2004 International. Estimated damage $100.

#2 is a dump truck that was shouldering gravel on the southbound shoulder, due to recent road work. #1 was southbound, saw another vehicle pass #2. #1 did not realize that #2 was moving very slow and struck the rear of it.

No summons. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

Three vehicle accident October 3, 2011, 4:25 PM on T-29 north of 280th Street.

Driver 1: GERALD TUPPER, age 29, Beaman. Driving 1997 Dodge. Estimated damage $1500.

Driver 2: KENT LARSON, age 74, Ackley. Driving 2000 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $3500.

Driver 3: CATHERINE SCHMIT, age 56, Waterloo. Driving 2010 Blue school bus. No damage.

#1 was southbound. #2 and #3 were also southbound but stopped by a flagman for road construction. #1 did not notice #2 was stopped. #1 tried to take evasive action but hit the back of #2 who then hit the back of #3.

TUPPER was cited for FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL.

JUAN LARA, age 25, Marshalltown. Arrested October 8, 2011, 6:45 PM in Grundy Center. Charged with DRIVING WHILE LICENSE BARRED. Posted bond and released. Arrested by GRUNDY CENTER PD.
