There was a one vehicle accident on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 6:55 p.m. on Hwy #20 approximately 1 mile west of Dike.

Driver : Chad Laurich, age 24, Marquette, Michigan driving 2007 Chevrolet pick-up, $30,000 damage.

Passenger: Matt Roth, age 31, Millwaukee, Wisconsin.

Passenger: Shawn LeMere, age 35, Cecil, Wisconsin.

All 3 transported to Covenant Hospital in Waterloo.

Laurich was eastbound on Highway #20 when he apparently left the roadway, struck a bridge guardrail, went airborne, struck embankment and flipped over into a creek.

The accident was investigated by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the accident remains under investigation. Assisting were Dike Fire Dept. and Ambulance and Stout Fire Dept.
