Avery Lynn Schmitz born on March 23, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center to Brent and Katie Schmitz and big brother Jacob of Grundy Center.  Avery weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 21 inches long at birth. Proud Grandparents are Bill and Cindy Saak of Reinbeck, Dale and Denae Haack of Gladbrook, and Steve and Kim Schmitz of Gladbrook. Great Grandparents are Eldon and Geri DeVries of Grundy Center, Patricia Benson of Hudson, and Bill and Shirley Young of Gladbrook.
