Prepare to answer your kids’ Bible questions
What’s worse than a bunch of “Dad Jokes”? “Back to School jokes.” Here’s an example: A mother asked her son, “Jr., what did you learn in school today?” The son shrugged his shoulders and said.” Apparently, not enough. I have to go back tomorrow.” Or this one. The teacher stood in front of the class and asked this history question, “Where was the Declaration of Independence signed?” Little Johnny shot his hand into the air exclaiming, “I know, I know!” “Go ahead,” the teacher said. Johnny stood up and said, “At the bottom.”
It is time to bring back all those bad jokes, return to school and get back to Sunday School. If you have children or grandchildren then let this be the year you give them the opportunity to learn about their faith. There comes a time when everyone needs God, even the kids. Do you have all the answers they’ll need for the million questions they will ask? Probably not. That’s why Peace Church wants to provide excellent education from the Bible.
On Sunday morning at 9:15 am following a wholesome breakfast, our kids, from 3-year-olds to middle school, meet in classes led by trained teachers. During the same period, adults and teens gather in our first-floor family room for refreshments and delicious Starbucks coffee. The class, entitled Bible Stories for Grown-ups, will give the adult and teen class an overview of the Bible and several good laughs.
Try these classes out. Learn, fellowship and get yourself prepared for a fresh discovery of worship during our 10:30 am praise and worship time. Pastor Tim Ayers is starting his series, “The Vision for a New Testament Church.”
