The 54th annual reunion of Joseph and Anna Dostal was held on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at the Eagles Hall in Tama. Hosts were Becky Faircloth and Alan Dostal. There were 72 in attendance coming from Texas, Indiana, Idaho, Oregon, South Dakota, Georgia, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, as well as all over Iowa. Many attendees purchased reunion T-shirts that had a special saying about family on them. Pot luck was enjoyed by all with an abundance of kolache for dessert. A short meeting was held after lunch. Nancy Dostal volunteered to take over the historian position that Lillian Dostal has always held but feels at 96 it is time for new blood. Becky Faircloth volunteered to host the reunion again next year which will be held August 4, 2019, at the Eagles Hall. Many in attendance brought craft or food items for prizes for the Bingo played and enjoyed for the entertainment in the afternoon. A special wooden plaque designed by Nora Faircloth with the same saying about family on it for the adult door prize won by Jason Faircloth and a candy bouquet was the child’s door prize won by Vador Towley.
