Ladies 500 Marathon

The 2017-2018 500 marathon winners were: 1st place-back row Katie Grimmius and Karen Pieper; 2nd place-front row Ethel Lucht and Dorothy Wiese; 3rd place-Laura Osborn and Norma Sass (absent). High game for the year was Katie Grimmius and Karen Pieper (4570) and low game was Pat Clausen and Sandy Raum (790).

Jane Frericks, Marcia Schmidt, Pat Clausen and Sandy Raum hosted the end of the year Gladbrook Ladies 500 Marathon on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the Gladbrook City Center. A delicious brunch of egg casserole, fruit, juice and coffee was served. Everyone was given a May basket. The group played cards, Karen pieper won high prize and Carolyn Groth the low prize. Prizes were give to Bonnie Murty for being the first person to arrive at the party and Candace Bartel for being the last to arrive. Karen gave each couple having a score of 4000 points or more in one game a prize. This included Pat Clausen and Sandy Raum (4010), Ethel Lucht and Dorothy Wiese (4050) and Laura Osborn and Norma Sass (4100). Anyone who would like to join the group next fall can call Karen Pieper at (641) 473-2723 before August 1. We were happy to welcome Bonnie Murty, Candace Bartel and Janis Strohbehn to our group this year.
