Garwin Modern Homemakers met at the home of Judy Beane November 15, a week later than usually scheduled. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. and the minutes of the past meeting were deferred. Nine members answered the roll call by Verna Stamp telling what their family plans were for Thanksgiving. We noted that not a single one of us were going to be hosting dinner in our homes, and were all delighted to be invited “out”. Janet Abbe reported that the Christmas Luncheon will be December 13 at O’Hungry’s in Marshalltown. We will meet in the breakfast room at 11:30 a.m. The program was a discussion that asked what decision we would make in many different circumstances. Judy served a delicious pumpkin dessert.
