Greetings from the Gladbrook Library We had a Great Week filled with our Adult Coloring Class and Children’s Story Hour…this week’s theme was “Harvest’. We learned how shuck and shell corn by hand, spent time coloring pictures, had a tasty corn treat and read books about farming and veggies! We even had a sensory box filled with corn, toy tractors, leaves, pinecones, feathers, sticks & mini pumpkins! Such a FUN morning had by ALL! What’s New? Well, LOTS of NEW books & DVD’s have arrived! Stop in early for the best selections and check out our latest titles TODAY! Mark Your Calendar for these upcoming events: Friday, October 28 – Halloween Open House, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., stop in anytime for treats 7 drinks, we will have Goodie Bags for the kiddos, kids welcome to wear their costumes, too! Monday, October 31 – Adult program/craft, 2:00-3:30 p.m., “The Thankful Tree“, all supplies will be provided…just come and create!, Coffee and refreshments will be served, see our Facebook Page for photos & more details. Wednesday, Nov. 2 – Children’s Story Hour”–“A Camping We Will Go”, featuring camp stories, s’mores treats, fun craft, tent and “campfire” to sit by. 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Also coming up in November Children’s Story Hour every Wednesday 10-11 a.m. Adult Coloring Group 1st and 3rd Mondays at 2 p.m. Happy Creek Coffee & Conversation Friday 2 p.m. An Adult program that will give you some real “Food for Thought:..more details to come.
