The Gladbrook Women’s Club met for their October meeting at Uncle Bill’s Farm, Grinnell, with 22nd members present. A short meeting was held upon our arrival. President Shirley Young said that June would be handing out tickets for Holiday Happenings on November 14th. Entertainment will be a 1-act play entitled, “Not So Prime Players”. Our budget for 2016-17 was approved. Kristi Reed and Kathy Poling were introduced as new members. We welcome anyone who would like to join Women’s Club. We meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at 1:30 pm at Independent Living unless otherwise announced. A committee of Vivian, Jean and Mary Jane will make a proposal on who can be an honorary member of Women’s Club. Members approved a donation to Kids Shopping Day. Members were encouraged to pre-wrap gift boxes to help alleviate time on the day of shopping. Following lunch everyone went outside and took a hayride through the pumpkin patch.
