Garwin Library News More great news! Tia Hollatz brought in $400.00 from Donn’s memorial money to go towards our summer project of a beautiful front yard with permanent picnic tables. I received a grant from The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa for $1,000.00 for this project also. Our coffee club has added another $200.00 to that. They also paid for a much needed folding table. Thank you all so much! Another dream coming true for the Garwin Library. Tia also donated $100.00 toward our summer reading programs. The first one will start Sat., May 28, at 10:30 a.m. with Frances Jackson leading that one. Please sign up your children ages 3-6 for reading, crafts, and snacks. We need a headcount to know how many craft items to purchase. Call the library at 499-2024 to sign up. The older kids are showing a new interest in Harry Potter with the new book to be released this summer. I will have Harry Potter bracelets and necklaces for all who read the Harry Potter books. We will also have our pizza party at the end of the summer reading for all who read even one book. I do as questions about the story, so no cheating. last week Ethan and Avery came in a presented me a peanut butter cookie, mind you, these are 8th grade boys.
