Gladbrook Women’s Club
Gladbrook Women’s Club Spring Tea The snow is melting, the sno-birds are returning home and the Gladbrook Women’s Club is taking reservations for the April 24, 2016 biennial Spring Tea. As anyone who has attended any of the past teas can tell you, the Spring Tea is a lovely afternoon of scrumptious finger foods (some of which just invite you to lick your fingers), gracious entertainment and enjoying your best friends over a cup of tea. For many of us, those best friends have been books, and this year the Spring Tea will feature Arlene Selby from Marshalltown who will share her passion for “Little Libraries”. Arlene, who taught school for many year as well as teaching piano, will also treat the guests to piano music. Guests will be seated at small tables for 4 to 6 people and seating is limited. You may purchase a ticket and reserve seating with your friends by calling Karen Handorf, 473-2172 (leave a message and she will return your call). Tickets are $20 each and reservations are required in advance. The tea will be held Sunday April 24 at 3:00 p.m. in the north room of the Memorial Building. The biennial Spring Tea is a fund-raiser which funds a local educational project each year.
