By Margaret Thomsen Six GMG Junior High Students participated in the Marion Middle School Honor Band in Cedar Rapids on January 16. The instrumentalists were selected by director nomination. The students spent the day practicing with guest conductors. There were two concerts in the evening with a band for each grade. Participating in the seventh band were Frances Jackson, Kaci Krier and Angel Schewe. Eighth graders attending included Lindsey Slifer, Megan Kohn and Grace Schewe. Mr. Dan Lastovka is the Band Director for GMG. Honor Band participants included: Grace Schewe, Lindsey Slifer, Angel Schewe, Megan Kohn, Frances Jackson and Kaci Krier.
