I think I’ve sent out thanks to all the people who donated over the past couple months, but if I have forgotten anyone forgive me and thank you. We had over $500 in cash donations alone. That is why I always call our library ‘The Community Library” we have so much community support. I have found a new author who brings unforgettable characters not unlike Radley. Scout, Mrs. Havisham and Pip to life and you are right in their story. Her name is Christina McKenna and her stories are located in Ireland. I have read “The Misremembered Man” and “The Disenchanted Widow” so far and looking forward to the next one. Noah donated the “Hush Hush” series for the teens and I have added several more. Trying to get some kids to read these days can be a bit hard. If I could just get the right book into the right hands they will be hooked. I met the new Gladbrook Librarian at our Tama County meeting. Beth has a very uplifting attitude and I wish her the best. There is a lot to learn and I’m sure she’ll do great. Also at the meeting we met with the Tama County Supervisors and asked for a 5% raise, cross your fingers for us.
