Gladbrook Library

The Gladbrook Library is hoping everyone had great holidays and survived them! There was a lot of fun had here on the Tuesday before Christmas with a celebration of books, snacks, pizza, and Santa. We had 33 kids in attendance and everyone left with a smile on their face. We want to thank those who volunteered and helped including Stephanie Goos, Shanna Goos, Felicia Seda, Shari Smith, and of course Santa. Pat and I couldn’t have done it without your help! I also want to thank those people who offered to help as well, your support of the program and library does not go unnoticed! We have several events coming up for January. January 19th is National Popcorn Day. Come in from 12-6pm check out a book and grab a bag of popcorn to celebrate…because who doesn’t love popcorn! Kids come on in from 5-6pm to have some popcorn, storytime, and craft. Parents on January 29th from 5-6pm we will be celebrating National Puzzle Day. January 30th-Febuary 6th kicks off National Storytelling week. More information will follow concerning this event. We hope your children can come to any or all of these exciting programs. Please feel free to call or Facebook the Gladbrook Library with any questions. Do you have a middle schooler looking for some new books to read? Maya Goos, a 6th grader at GMG has some books that are her favorites. Her 2015 Favorites include: Pie, The Ghost of Graylock, Slob, Poppy, and Eight Keys. These books have mystery, humor, time travel and could be great selections if your kids are bored with what they are currently reading. Try them out! Book Bingo has started! For grades 1st through 10th come in and talk to your librarian about how to play!
