Gladbrook Gals & Guys 4-H

By: Brianna Strohbehn On December 12, the Gladbrook Gals and Guys held their annual Cookie Walk at the memorial building in Gladbrook. Each member baked 10 dozen and brought them to be sold at the Cookie Walk. Hosts were there at 7:30 to set up and everyone else came for the meeting at eight. During the meeting, we discussed what we do on our trip to Cedar Rapids in January besides going to Sky Zone. That trip will take place January 9, 2016. Nothing has been set in stone yet. We also looked over a schedule of new business events happening in the club as many as eight months in future ending at the Iowa State Fair in August! After the meeting, we enjoyed breakfast pizza and donuts from Casey’s with money donated from the bank. We took the leftovers to the bank to share. We brainstormed ideas for games to host at the Winter Carnival January 23, 2016 at the Traer Memorial Building. Presley gave a presentation about trapping and talked about the different animals he’d caught. We opened at ten o’clock and had three shifts, each being an hour long. Our 4-H members enjoyed serving their baked goods to the community and can’t wait for another year!
