Gladbrook Senior Citizens

The Gladbrook Senior Citizens met in the beautiful Festival of Trees on Dec. 11th. Deb Wentzien played Christmas carols while the seniors enjoyed looking at all the beautifully lighted trees and displays before the dinner. The Gladbrook Auxiliary hosted a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The Jr. Auxiliary made Christmas tree table favors. For the program Rev. Barb Muhs led a Christmas carol sing-a-long. The group also played several games including a very funny and challenging game of drawing a Christmas scene on a paper plate on top of your head. Everyone had fun with the Christmas word scramble. Some forgot that reindeer is not spelled with an A! The door prize winners were Kathy Anderson, Joyce Bern, and Paulette Boerm. Everyone received a Santa sack. The next Senior dinner will be next year on March 11th hosted by the Gladbrook UMW. Merry Christmas! Auxiliary members serving were: (l-r) Katie Grimmius, Rev. Barb Muhs, Karen Pieper, Jolene Denbow, JoAnn Ruopp, Jeanne Paustian, Joyce Swangel, and Jodi Betts. Not pictured Betty Dahms.
