Garwin Library
We have lots of good news to share here in Garwin. I’m receiving a grant from Shopko for the kids programs in the amount of $250.00; Tia & Donn Hollatz donated $200.00; Kathy Johnston, $100.00; Jane Montgomery, $50.00, and for me a Subway gift card. That was a bit of a surprise. Also $20.00 each from Deb Stamp, Ann Jackson and Janet Abby. Tammy Zaruba has donated enough paper to last a couple of years along with a 1,000 cups, and a commercial size Bunn coffee maker. Books from Tammy W., Darlene B., Margaret T., Tia H., and Janine A., 19 children’s DVD’s from Darcy M., food from Amber H., and always spending money from the coffee ladies and the Pronto can. Like I always say, this is a community run project and they all should be proud. I really hope we all make an impact on the lives of the children that benefit from all this love and kindness. New books, “Speaking in Bones” by Reichs; “See Me” by Sparks; “Stars of Fortune” by Roberts; “Orphan #8” by Alkemade; “Driving Heat” by Castle; Christian Fiction Karen Kingsbury’s Angels Walking series and for our true crime lover “To Love and To Kill” and “Let’s Kill Mom” wait just arriving by UPS “Cash Landing” by Grippando. If you make a donation to the library, from now on make it to The Garwin Library Association as town is going to take over the main part of the library but donations will stay in our fund to spend on the children’s programs and other items we are in need of. Say a prayer for Donn Hollatz as his body continues to fail him from ALS. Blessings to all this holiday season. Lola Slingluff, Library Director
