The regular meeting of the Garwin Roughriders 4-H Club was held at Chapel Church on October 17, 2015. Vice-president Jake Hlas called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. There were eleven members, four parents and one visitor present. Angel led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lindsay gave the secretary’s report. Hallie Claussen moved to approve the secretary’s report, Jace Hlas seconded, and the motion passed. The Treasurer’s Report was given. Our balance on hand as of October 17, 2015, is $943.11. We made over $400 at our Tailgate Fundraiser. Stephenie Claussen moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report, Jace Hlas seconded, and the motion passed. Jake reported that County Council elected officers, and there will be an officers’ training on October 18. Items for old business included reimbursing Ann $10.19 for fundraiser. Frances made a motion to reimburse Ann, Hallie seconded and the motion passed. In new business the club voted to donate $200 to Lindsey Groth. The motion was made by Frances, seconded by Hallie and passed. We also elected our officers for 2015-2016. They were: President- Jake Hlas, Vice President- Lindsey Slifer, Secretary- Frances Jackson, Treasurer- Stephenie Claussen, Historian- Angel Schewe, and Sergeant at Arms- Hallie Claussen. The officers were installed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 and the club members enjoyed cookies.
