Garwin Public Library
This week I would like to give a round of applause to all my faithful coffee ladies who have made it possible for us to have new DVD’s every month. I looked back to the year I started and we checked out 695, this year 1,175. That makes a lot of people who don’t have cable very happy. Their money pays for juice, coffee, lemonade and soda. The ladies also make it possible for the library to have Bingo twice a month. It gets loud on Bingo Saturday because it is the favorite program we have and we get quite a group of kids. I don’t want to name all the ladies in case I would forget someone but you know who you are, so give yourself a pat on the back you deserve it. I just read the book “The Blackhouse” and fell in love with the writing of Peter May. I learned many things along with the mystery and was surprised at the ending. I can’t wait to get the second one in the trilogy. I want to thank our town for covering our handrails, they are now splinter free so grab hold if you need to. My grandson Jake Wrage and his wife Alley blessed me with my first Great-Grandchild on September 12th and I thank them. Jaxon Dean is perfect and of course beautiful.
