The 81st annual reunion of the descendants of Frederick and Bertha Handorf was held Sunday, June 14th, 2015, at the Gladbrook Memorial Building with 50 members present. Vari Nelson, President, presided over the business meeting. The oldest members present were Doris Hinson, Dunedin, FL, Maxine Halverson, Marshalltown and Doris Crandall, Cedar Falls. The youngest relative was Ella Mae Nelson, LeClaire, IA. Dan Hinson and family, Orlando, Fl, and Eric Handorf and family, Villa Park, CA, traveled the furthest distance. The new officers elected for 2016 were President, Vari Nelson; Vice-President, Avis Handorf Guthart; and Secretary-Treasurer, Bryn Hayes. Next year’s reunion will be held June 12, 2016, at the same location in Gladbrook.
