Community Survey

The G-R Schools are conducting an on-line needs assessment this week.

There will be a link on the district website, wwww.gladbrook-reinbeck.k12.ia.us, active from February 23 March 3. A computer lab at each building will be open for parents to complete the survey during parent-teacher conferences on Monday and Thursday evenings as well. If you or a community group would like paper copies to complete please contact the district office at 319-345-2712.

We are hoping to get a large number of surveys completed in order to get an accurate reflection of public thoughts about our schools.

Elementary

Reconfiguration

After public meeting on February 10th and 12th the Board took action at their regularly scheduled meeting on February 17th. In the 2009-2010 school year all third and fourth graders will attend at the Reinbeck Elementary campus.

The Board would like to thank all those who provided input at the public meetings and through other communication. The administration and staff will be working out details of the new arrangement in the coming weeks. If you have a question or suggestion please contact Mr. Parker, K-8 Principal, or Mr. Kuehl, superintendent. This was not a decision that the Board and administration took lightly and we will be working hard to ensure that the new arrangement will be successful.

Snow Make-up Days

To date the G-R Schools have missed four days of school due to inclement weather. All of the make-up days are at the end of the year. Currently the final day of school for students is scheduled for June 4, 2009
