Project Radical Minutes of December 15, 2008 in the high school ICN room. Those in attendance were: Connie Miller, Mike Studt and Beth Thompson.

The group all felt that the Townhall meeting was a success. Several reasons were cited for the good turnout.

One was the letter Jane Stirler sent to all the middle school SADD students and their parents. Also many of the high school SADD and JEL students were in attendance. Terry Plocher’s involvement of the churches also helped to boost attendance. The group suggested that another Townhall meeting be scheduled in March.

Connie shared that a speaker from Allen’s gambling prevention program presented at the Grundy County community partners meeting. Beth will contact him as a possible presenter for the next meeting.

Beth reported that the Drug Free Communities Support grant is in the final year of funding. On the grant revision form, it was recommended that the grant be funded for one more year based on satisfactory progress and availability of funding. Beth has contacted the grant manager to request one more year of funding.
