Gladbrook-Reinbeck alum Lauren Bengen has been honored with a selection to the 3rd Team Region XI team. She is a freshman player for the Iowa Central Tritons in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The Tritons finished second in the Regional tournament. They ended the 2011-12 season with a 27-6 mark. Lauren finished with a team high 53 3 pointers for the year and also led the team in 3 point % at 37.1%. She was the fourth leading scorer at 9 points per game and also averaged 3.5 rebounds.

Lauren is the daughter of Mike and Marci Bengen and is the granddaughter of Don and Ann Rae Billerbeck.
