Robert Neil, 74, Waterloo, died July 5 at his home.

Erna Kelley, 75, Waterloo, died July 5 at Allen Hospital.

Margaret Siemens, 83, Gladbrook, died July 2 at home.

John Davie, 86, Grundy Center, died July 4 at Grundy Care Center.

Winners of the beard growing contest were: Vince Moye, Don Graventa, Carl Roeding & Jim Westergaard.

Mr. & Mrs. Allen Thede are parents of a son born July 10.

Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Nelson, Cedar Falls, are parents of a son born July 15.

Tim Robinson, a recent graduate of UNI in Cedar Falls, has accepted a teaching position at the Diagonal School District.

Harry Petersen, 86, Reinbeck, died July 19.

Walt Folkerts, 61, received minor injuries in a collision in Hudson. He was treated at a local hospital and released.
