Gene Erwin Norton

Gene Erwin Norton , born July 30, 1943, passed away on July 4, 2011 in Marshalltown of a short illness. Gene was born in Marshalltown, the son of Bernice (Beadle) and Jack Norton. He was raised in the Haven area. On January 2, 1967, he was married to Betty Jo Doran in Tama. They made their home in Tampa, Florida for 28 years. They returned to Iowa in 1995 and resided in Garwin. Gene is survived by his wife, Betty Jo, his son Brice Patrick of Waterloo, sister-in-law Jean Doran of Tama, brother in-law Dennis (Eva) Doran of Osceola and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Overton Family Services, Garwin, Iowa
