Obituary

Ruby L. Mitchell, 86, of Fort Madison, Wis., passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.She was born on May 4, 1923 in Lowell, Ind. to Frank & Ora Clark Graves. Ruby attended Purdue University and then married Donald M. Mitchell on July 18, 1944 in Lowell, Ind.He died on October 25, 1998.She was a Shaklee Dealer for a number of years and of the Protestant Faith.

Ruby is survived by: 2-daughters: Karen (Dave) Tansey of Waterloo, Iowa & Mitzi (Don) Mueller of West Burlington, Iowa; 1-son: John (Lydia) Mitchell of Chile; 9-grandchildren; 10-great grandchildren and 1-great great grandson.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Mark P. Spring officiating.Burial was held at Amity Cemetery in Reinbeck, Iowa at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Richard Wood, 73, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at his home in Reinbeck. Funeral services were 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Union Congregational United Church of Christ Church in Reinbeck, with Pastor Joel Love officiating. Burial followed at the Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck. Visitation was Monday, April 5, 2010, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, where the family was be present to greet friends. A memorial has been established. Richard the son of Charles and Victoria (Linder) Wood was born September 8, 1936 in Grundy Center, Iowa. Richard grew up and attended and graduated Reinbeck schools. On August 4, 1957, Richard was united in marriage to Janet Sue Kluver in Grundy Center. To this union two sons were born, Rick and Lonnie. Richard was a farmer who enjoyed playing the guitar, playing cribbage, golfing, and spending time with his family. Richard was a member of a Neighborhood Club, the Union Congregational United Church of Christ, and the Oak Leaf Country Club where he enjoyed golfing with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Janet and his son, Rick Wood on March 11, 1997; his sister, Margaret Voigt and his brother, Roy Wood.

He is survived by his son, Lonnie (Connie) Wood of Reinbeck; four grandchildren, Ben Wood of Charles City, Iowa; Nicholas Wood and Nathan Wood both of Springfield, Mo.; and Derek Wood of Reinbeck; sisters, Mary Schick and Marlys Moore and special friend Clara Schroeder.
