GLADBROOK – On Oct, 12, 2020, Chapel Church burned to the ground. It was a devastating loss to the congregation and surrounding rural community; however, an exciting groundbreaking service for a new building was held on Sept. 11, 2024.

The new building is now complete and has been holding services since the beginning of June 2025. The congregation is thankful for all the work and planning that went into the completion of the building. In celebration, Chapel Church will hold a dedication ceremony this Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. The public is welcome and invited to attend. The church is located at 1597 Abbott Avenue in rural Gladbrook, roughly four miles west of Union Grove State Park.
