Sweeney

Iowa Senator Annette Sweeney (R-Alden) will hold a virtual town hall meeting on Feb. 20 at 9:30 a.m. via the online Zoom platform.

Sweeney represents senate district 25 which includes all of Grundy and Hardin counties as well as portions of Butler County to the north and Story County to the southwest.

The town hall will be in conjunction with Rep. Dave Deyoe (R-Nevada) who represents portions of Hardin and Story counties in the Iowa House.

Sweeney is midway through her first term in the Iowa Senate after serving in the Iowa House from 2009 to 2013. In 2021 she was named chair of the Senate Natural Resources committee and also sits as a member of the senate agriculture, education, ways and means (taxes and revenue) and human resources committees.
