Iowa Bible Reading Marathon

Grundy Center will be hosting the IOWA BIBLE READING MARATHON on the courthouse lawn Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, June 26 to the 28 from 8 am to 6pm. This is the fourth consecutive year we have the privilege to exercise our religious freedom with Governor Kim Reynolds signing the proclamation.

Everyone from all walks of life from every age are invited to bring a Bible and a lawn chair. The library will be open due to inclement weather. Come at your own convenience anytime.

God is a Mighty fortress protecting those whosoever will participate. This is a wonderful opportunity to unite us in love and unity as well as in obedience to our creator God. His Word promises it will accomplish that which He chooses and not return void.

We will also be reading 12 chapters along with the other 99 counties on July 7, Sunday morning at 7:14 at the gazebo. This is in reference and obedience to 2 Chronicles 7:14. If my people called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I heal their land. Each county reads at their courthouse thus reading Genesis to Revelation at the same time. Everyone is invited to participate.
