GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE December 3, 2018 thru December 9, 2018

1. One vehicle accident December 3, 2018, 6:00 AM on Hwy 20 at the 209 mile marker. Driver: MICHAEL MINIKUS, age 51, Holland. Driving 2003 Ford. Estimated damage $15,000. Vehicle was eastbound when the driver lost control due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle entered the south ditch where it rolled onto its side. No summons, minor injuries. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

2. JENNIFER PARKS, age 38, Garwin. Arrested December 3, 2018, 9:00 AM at the Sheriff’s Office. Charged with THEFT 4th. Released on a promise to appear. Arrested by GRUNDY CENTER PD.

3. Two vehicle accident December 4, 2018, 3:05 PM on 130th Street east of B Avenue. Driver 1: SAM JOHNSON, age 16, Wellsburg. Driving 2005 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $5000. Driver 2: RICKY KUPER, age 51 Ackley. Driving Chevrolet. Estimated damage $3000. #1 was eastbound on the gravel road and approaching the crest of a hill. #2 was westbound and also approaching the crest of a hill. #1 said he was closer to the middle of the road due to snow along the edge of the road. #1 attempted to take evasive action but was struck in the rear driver’s side by #2. #1 was spun around and went backwards down the hill and into the north ditch. JOHNSON was issued a citation for DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE TWO WAY ROAD. No injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

4. One vehicle accident December 6, 2018, 5:40 PM on D-67 east of Hwy 14. Driver: DEBRA BAUSMAN, age 64, Wellsburg. Driving 2012 Volkswagon. Estimated damage $3500. Vehicle was westbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. No summons, no injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

5. REGINA WELSHER, age 48, Grundy Center. Arrested December 6, 2018, 8:45 PM in Grundy Center. Charged with DOMESTIC ABUSE ASSAULT, DISORDERLY CONDUCT and POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. Being held in lieu of bond. Arrested by GRUNDY CENTER PD.

6. One vehicle accident December 7, 2018, 8:37 PM on Hwy 20 at the 187 mile marker. Driver: CONSTANCE STEWART-ELLIS, age 47, Humboldt. Driving 2017 Ram. Estimated damage $2000. Vehicle was westbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. No summons, no injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

7. One vehicle accident December 8, 2018, 12:45 AM on 215th Street east of W Avenue. Driver: REECE GILBERT, age 18, Reinbeck. Driving 2005 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $4000. Vehicle was westbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. No summons, no injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

8. LANE KANNEGIETER, age 39, Dike. Arrested December 8, 2018, 1:16 AM in Parkersburg. Charged with DOMESTIC ABUSE ASSAULT. Released on a promise to appear. Arrested by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

9. GABRIEL AEBERSOLD, age 24, Steamboat Rock. Arrested December 8, 2018, 2:45 AM in Grundy Center. Charged with OWI 3rd, OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT OWNER’S CONSENT, DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED and OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT AN INTERLOCK DEVICE. Posted bond and released. Arrested by GRUNDY CENTER PD.

10. One vehicle accident December 8, 2018, 10:25 AM on Hwy 175 east of R Avenue. Driver: CHARLYNE MANLICK, age 80, Reinbeck. Driving 2016 Ford. Estimated damage $3000. Vehicle was westbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. No summons, no injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

11. One vehicle accident December 8, 2018, 10:30 PM on Grundy Rd south of 220th Street. Driver: HADLEY WEIFENBACH, age 33, Cedar Falls. Driving 2011 Ford. Estimated damage $25,000. Vehicle was northbound when the driver reached for his cell phone, lost control, entered the west ditch and overturned. WEIFENBACH was issued a citation for FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL. No injury. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

12. One vehicle accident December 9, 2018, 6:58 AM on F Avenue south of 160th Street. Driver: JEMAL KILLINGSWORTH, age 27, Dubuque. Driving 2013 Chevrolet. Estimated damage $6000. Vehicle was southbound when the driver was unable to negotiate the curve, entered the east ditch and came to rest after striking the side of the ditch. KILLINGSWORTH was issued citations for DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED, NO INSURANCE, FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL and NO REGISTRATION. Minor injuries. Investigated by GRUNDY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
