Miracle on Main

Now that Friday, November 10 is marked in red and green on your calendar, we can let you in on a couple of surprises NEW for this year’s celebration!

Everyone looks forward to seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Memorial Building, and those sELFIe-seeking elves are sure to be spotted up and down Main Street. But this year, they will be joined by two more beautiful – and royal – guests. Ana and Elsa (of “Frozen” movie fame) Will be a part of this year’s Miracle on Main festivities! The princesses will be available for pictures so be on the lookout and get your own photo with our local royalty!

For the social media savvy, prizes await as part of another new featured event, The Miracle Drop. You must know your Reinbeck geography to succeed at this contest, where a randomly placed prize bag labeled “Miracle Drop” will be pictured on Facebook and Instagram. Identify where the price is located and be the first to claim it, then reply on social media that you’ve found it. Whatever is inside the bag is all yours! I’m sure Santa will stuff the Miracle Drop bags with all kinds of delightful goodies!

What better way to kick off the holiday season than in the spirit of giving! Information and a drop box for the Grundy County Christmas Store will be located at the Memorial Building during Miracle on Main. This is the third year that Reinbeck will be donating to the Christmas Store as a community, and we are excited to provide this opportunity once again! New and unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages are accepted. More information on suggested gifts will also be available!

Don’t worry about a meal that Friday night, Miracle on Main will cover supper, snacks and everything in between with all Main Street eateries open for business, as well as hot chocolate and cookies at the fire station and wine tastings at several businesses.

Basically, we’ve got everything covered for a night on the town right here in Reinbeck. The best part? Miracle on Main is only three weeks away! Three weeks! Can you believe it? If you want to be part of this year’s excitement, we are always looking for volunteers, particularly in the KID CENTRAL area! If you’re interested, please comment on our Facebook page or contact Jill Lauterbach.

November 10 will be here before we know it! Make plans to spend the HO, HO, WHOLE evening right here in our community!
