ACKLEY – AGWSR (3-0) remained undefeated with a 49-14 rout of GMG (1-2) Friday night. Nick Pieters and Cody Williams both scored a pair of touchdowns for the Cougars. Austin Heitland, Darrick Kyle-Murphy, and Levi Stockdale also rushed for scores. Kyle-Murphy led the Cougars with 110 yards rushing on just 15 carries, and AGWSR ran 383 of their 397 total yards. Luke Petty scored both touchdowns for GMG in the fourth quarter, running it in from 11 and 8 yards. He also had the only catch for GMG with a 30-yard pass from Austin Vaughn. Blake Warren led the team in rushing with 84 yards on 10 carries. GMG will face Class A District 4 opponent North Tama at home on Friday. AGWSR will be on the road to take on third-ranked district foe West Hancock in Britt.
