FAVORITE
ACTIVITY: EXPLAIN
WHY: Speech
(especially individual) is
definitely my love! It
has given me the
opportunity to explore
the talents that God has
given me (and hasn’t
given me: AKA Improve
Skills). It has given me
communication skills,
taught me the importance
of teamwork, the
greatness that comes out
of hard work, and created
confidence within myself
that will carry with me
far into the future. Most
of all, Speech has
instilled belief in myself
that I will be accepted no
matter what, that the
stories I write every year
mean something, that I
really do have talent, that
I can inspire other, that I
can do great things, and
that I can achieve
anything. Speech has
made me who I am!
FAVORITE HIGH
SCHOOL MEMORY:
Flash mobbing the
College Square Mall and
the lunch room with
Christmas tunes before
winter break! “The best
way to spread Christmas
cheer is singing loud for
all to hear!”
MOST
EMBARRASSING
HIGH SCHOOL
MEMORY: My
freshmen year in gym
class during an arousing
game of kickball. I had
gotten the ball stuck up
in the bleachers and was
rounding for second base
when Sam Johnson made
ONE jump up to the very
top, grabbed the ball, and
was charging at me. I
was literally ONE step
away from second base
when I turned around
and ran the other
direction, covered my
head, and hugged the
wall. I got out.
MY BEST GR
ACCOMPLISHMENT:
Putting on a Community
of Reinbeck “Christmas
Spectacular!” with over
60 GR kids PreK
through seventh grade
my junior and senior
year.
HOW WOULD YOU
LIKE TO BE
REMEMBERED AS
YOU LEAVE GRHS?
I want to be remembered
as a great leader. I hope
that the students have
seen my involvement and
have been urged to push
our school to try new
things and grow closer
relationships with one
another. I hope that the
staff will remember me
as the girl who always
went above and beyond.
I hope my name will be
remembered for a very
long time here at GR,
and if I did things right, I
hope I had a positive
impact and inspired
everyone in some way.
THING I WILL MISS
ABOUT GR:
The sense of community.
We all come together to
support one another and
be there for each other in
any and all
circumstances. We bond
with one another and
experience everything as
a team. The students and
staff here at GR are my
family and will always
be special to me.
ADVICE TO
UNDERCLASSMEN:
Be a role model and
strive to make a positive
impact everyday!
Always walk the hall
ways with a smile on
your face. Talk to
someone you never talk
to. Participate in
something you’d never
dreamed of doing. You
literally get one shot at
high school, so embrace
everything it has to offer!
FUTURE PLANS: I
will be attending UNI to
major in social work,
minor in family relations,
and receive a certificate
in nonprofit organization
management. I’m also
hoping to intern at the
Salvation Army and/or
the YMCA while in
college. After college, I
want to create a
“Foundation of Hope”
nonprofit that will serve
the extensive,
impoverished
communities that need
help most. This
organization would focus
on giving people the
necessities to make them
successful in the world
and keep them on their
feet for the long run. I
cannot think of anything
more rewarding than to
build personal
relationships and help
others find a new sense
of meaning in their lives.
I only wish to be that
inspiration, that hope, for
people who need it most!
