The Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School Jazz Band practiced for months for G-R’s annual Jazz Show. The songs prepared included: “Woodchoppers Ball” by Woody Herman, “Yesterday by The Beatles, “Jammin’ With Charlie” by Eddy Bonte, and “Martian Square Dance” by Dean Sorenson and Bruce Pearson. These songs are a wide collection of songs with different tones, volumes, and pitches. Jazz Band members include: Brooke Beenken (flute), Amy Goettsch (alto saxophone), Slade Wager (alto saxophone), Cole Goos (trombone), Alex Thede (trumpet), Emily Goettsch (trumpet), Carley Crozier (trumpet), Jesse Royer (trumpet), Shelby Yates (piano), Tyler Wrage (tuba), Shalyn Johnston (percussion) , Dustin Churchwell (percussion).
