WESTBROOK ACRES READY FOR SPRING MONTH March 2020

From The Administrator A note from the Administrator: I cannot believe that we are approaching SPRING!!! Something to look for-ward to! I want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has been patient with the facility with the sickness that has come and gone throughout the last few weeks. It is that time of year! During these winter months it would always be a good idea to give the facility a call before visiting. We kindly ask that if you, or anyone you know, refrain from visiting the facility if they are feel-ing ill! The safety of our residents, staff AND visitors is of utmost importance to us!! We look forward to sunshine and warmer weather and everything that goes along with it!! Be safe! Kelly Larson MBA, LNHA

RESIDENT OF THE MONTH — Keith Alberts Keith was born on March 4th, 1944 in the Dike, Grundy City area. His mom and dad were farmers, he was raised on the farm and went to Dike schools. Keith was in the Navy for 4 years, and then was teaching school at UNI. He later moved to Mason City where he also taught school. Keith was married in his early years, later divorced and but had no children. He does have 3 nieces who have helped him throughout the years. He had one brother and one sister who have passed away. He was a very well known teacher, and was very good at what he did. He taught Jr. High Science in Mason City for 40 years. Keith was also very busy, never sit-ting down much. He loved walking, was always on the go. Keith went to the Methodist Church in Mason City, and he sang in the choir for many years, and he also loved playing the piano, especially church hymns. He can still carry quite a tune. About 5 years ago, he had a sudden stroke, and surgery following which really impaired his vision. Keith has been with us for several years, and we enjoy having him here. Thank you Keith for sharing with us.
