Garwin Modern Homemakers

On Tuesday January 14th, the Homemakers met at the home of Vivian LeVier starting a New Year off. Vivian had the complete day to herself. She was the Hostess, and also had Roll Call and then also the Program, as Joan Bacon was not here to do the Roll Call because of surgery she had. Kathy did a reading from 1947, “The Optimist”. Kathy turned it back to Vivian for Roll Call of “Best winter vacation you ever had?” Kathy then did another reading, “Ask someone else the questions, because I do not have the answers.” Really – Really Funny. Joan will be the Hostess for February on the 12th, Ethel will have the program and Elaine will have Roll Call. She then again turned the day over to Vivian for the Program today. Vivian’s program was about “The 100th year for women being able to vote. August 26th, 2020 will be THE DAY and it is the 19th Amendment that Carrie Chapman Catt work with to get the women to be able to vote. Vivian and Judy went to the kitchen to ready some food for all of the Members while the rest of us visited. They served us Flan fruits, candies and nuts, coffee and also Chai Tea. We visited before heading to our homes.
